The Problems With Obamacare Just Keep Getting BIGGER.

Donna Simpson

The idea of government run healthcare has scared many Americans into making healthier decisions. They are making wise food choices, exercising regularly, and living healthy lifestyles. Their goal is to avoid Obamacare if the healthcare bill is passed this week. However, not all Americans are striving towards the same goal.

Donna Simpson weighs just over 600 pounds, but she doesn’t think that’s enough. She has set a goal to reach 1000 pounds in two years! I can hardly stomach one piece of sushi, but she claims to eat 70 large pieces in one sitting. In order to pay for her sushi and the other items on her $750 weekly grocery list, Simpson runs a website, which charges men to watch her eat while wearing a bikini.

Typically, I would say that if Simpson wants to eat herself to death, it’s her choice to do so. However, this big woman could become a big problem for taxpayers. Her decision to become increasingly large and unhealthy will inevitably be accompanied by severe health issues. If the Obamacare bill is passed, you and I will be paying for her irresponsible choice to weigh a half-ton.

It’s unconstitutional to force citizens to pay for anyone’s healthcare other than their own or that of their children. It is especially unconstitutional to force citizens to pay for the healthcare of a person who is intentionally making detrimental decisions for her health. The choice Simpson has made to weigh 1000 pounds is almost certain to lead to multiple conditions such as the following: diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sleep apnea, arthritis, stroke, and respiratory conditions. Can American taxpayers afford to pay for the doctor care, hospital visits, medications, and medical supplies of this one woman’s asinine and idiotic decision? No. We can’t afford it, and we shouldn’t be expected to pay for it.

If the politicians want to reform healthcare, let them begin by reforming the programs the government already runs—Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. Why allow the government to force a new, universal healthcare upon the citizens? They can’t even manage the government-run health and social programs that already exist. Why give the politicians another opportunity to take our money and force our hand? It’s time for Americans to say, “Enough is enough,” and actively fight back.
